Long Island man busted for stuffing dead, duct-taped cats down trash chute - New York Post

A Long Island man was busted for allegedly killing multiple cats and kittens — after they were found wrapped in duct tape and dumped down a trash chute in his building, police said Wednesday.

Justin Visconti, 37, was arrested on four counts of animal cruelty after the dead kitties were found over several weeks at the bottom of the garbage chute at The Porter Regency building on Lincoln Avenue in Mineola, Nassau County police said.

The felines, who had suffered blunt force trauma, were bound with duct tape, packed into cardboard boxes and wrapped in bedsheets, officials said.

The animals were discovered by a building employee and a resident, police said.

Investigators allegedly traced the incident back to Visconti, who lives in an apartment in the building, authorities said.

He is expected to appear in court Wednesday.
