CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Thanksgiving holiday will delay trash and recycling collection in Cleveland Heights this week. Crews will not work on Thursday, leading to collection changes throughout the city.
Neighborhoods where trash is collected on Thursday should place their garbage outside for collection on Friday morning. Residents who have their trash collected on Friday will instead be picked-up on Saturday.
Google has released data to help Ohioans prepare for the Thanksgiving rush. The company said bakeries, grocery stores and liquor stores all hit peak crowd levels between noon and midnight on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Movie theaters and shopping centers, though, have the most activity between noon and midnight on Black Friday.
For residents who are escaping the confines of Northeast Ohio over the holiday, Google Maps has identified the best and worst times to leave for your Thanksgiving road trip, helping you focus on enjoying family fun and chowing-the-turkey time.
