Aside from that new gaming system or trendy jacket, you know what other exciting parcel is wrapped with a bow this time of year? Trash.
And starting Nov. 25, the city of Roswell will be accepting more of your trash during the holidays.
The city announced Monday that it would accept up to five bags of household garbage because it knows folks create more trash this time of year. Extra bags go next to containers.
The special collections last until Jan. 10, the city said.

If extra doesn’t do it, Roswell residents can bring garbage to the Roswell Transfer Station, 1810 Hembree Road, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. It’s free for those who can prove Roswell residency. Beware: The transfer station will be closed Nov. 28, Nov. 29, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The city asks that household garbage must be “bagged and tightly secured with a tie wrap, rubber band, etc.”
